Terms of Use

Last updated: October 4, 2026

These terms apply when you use Dwi, our iPhone app for learning Moroccan Darija, and our website at thelooplabs.app. By using Dwi, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Dwi.

Who can use Dwi

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dwi. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you.

Your account

When you first open Dwi, it creates a guest account for you, so you don't need to sign up to start learning. Signing in is optional, with Sign in with Apple or a one-time code sent to your email. If you sign in, please keep access to that Apple ID or email secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Me › Settings › Privacy & data. If you can't access the app, email support@thelooplabs.app.

Subscriptions and purchases

Dwi is free to download and start. Some features may require a paid subscription or purchase, and the price is always shown in the app before you pay.

Your voice and conversations

When you speak in Dwi and have allowed it to share your voice with the AI tutor, your recording is sent to our servers to be transcribed, scored and answered, and then it is discarded. Recordings are not kept on our servers. If you turn on "Save recordings", they stay on your iPhone only. Your conversation transcripts sync to your account so you can keep your history. Your recordings and messages stay yours. You give us permission to process them, including through Claude on Amazon Bedrock, only to run Dwi for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when you withdraw it in Me › Settings › Privacy & data or delete your account.

AI-generated content

Dwi's characters, corrections and feedback are generated by artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic, which we use through Amazon Bedrock). AI can make mistakes, and Darija varies from region to region, so answers may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected. Dwi is for learning and practice. Don't rely on it for professional, legal, medical or official translation needs. If something seems wrong, please tell us at support@thelooplabs.app.

Using Dwi respectfully

Please don't:

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Our content

The Looplabs and Dwi names, our characters (including Bellarej, Youssef, Salma and Aya), lessons, illustrations, audio and app design belong to Looplabs. You may use them only within Dwi for your own learning.

Apple

Dwi is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with these terms. Apple is not responsible for Dwi or its content, and is not a party to these terms. If these terms and Apple's agreement conflict, these terms apply to the extent allowed.

Changes and availability

We're a small studio and Dwi keeps evolving. We may add, change or remove features, and occasionally Dwi may be unavailable while we fix or improve it. If we stop offering Dwi, we will let you know in advance where we can.

No warranty and limits of liability

Dwi and our website are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent allowed by law, Looplabs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of Dwi. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for important changes we will let you know in the app or by email. If you keep using Dwi after a change, you accept the updated terms.
